About the Conference
The Web 2.0 Conference is brought to you in partnership with O'Reilly Media, Inc. and MediaLive International and moderated by John Battelle and O’Reilly CEO and Founder, Tim O’Reilly.
Battelle is one of the co-founders of Wired magazine and the founder and former Chair of Standard Media International, publisher of The Industry Standard. He is also Chairman and Publisher of FM Publishing, "band manager" for Boing Boing, and a Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. Battelle is the author of John Battelle’s Searchblog, posting "Thoughts on the intersection of search, media, technology, and more."
Tim O'Reilly is founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, Inc., thought by many to be the best computer book publisher in the world. He has also been a pioneer in the popularization of the Internet, and O'Reilly's Global Network Navigator site was the first Web portal and the first true commercial site on the World Wide Web.
